There are many species of mushrooms and the Japanese Reshi mushroom has a lot of benefits associated with it. Other names for this mushroom which has had documented use for many generations include Ganoderma Lucidum and Lingzhi. It has a high level of antioxidants and geranium which can have a bounty of health benefits.

Reishi mushrooms are often used to help boost the immune system to prevent illness and disease and are also considered a weapon in the fight against Cancer tumor growth. Benefits for asthmatics, those with Hepatitis, and a long list of other health problems including in categories of anti allergic, antifungal, antiparasitic and more.

Reishi Dosage

Reishi mushrooms can be bought and are also sold in capsule form as well as a health drink.  The dosage depends on your health and goals but as a preventative, pills are taken at about 2-3 capsules a day on an empty stomach and when taken to tackle a specific problem the dosage is often up to double.  Recommendations include taking with plenty of Vitamin C for extra benefit. One of the benefits of Reishi mushrooms are that there have been no toxicity reports and side effects tend to be minimal.
