Gardening does a number of things for you. Whether you’re interested in flowers, vegetables, or both, it’s a great idea for your health and your emotional well-being.
1) Exercise. Those who garden are often in great shape because it’s physically demanding work. It’s rewarding work because there are fruits to your labour and that’s the kind of work that you can be motivated about doing.
2) Healthier eating. If you’re growing a vegetable garden, you’re about to do great things for your health. A variety of colourful veggies can increase your health and vitality and help you drop a few pounds.
3) Sunshine. Sunshine does great things for your body and your soul. Not only will you enjoy the benefits of Vitamin D for your health and emotional well being. Gardeners tend to be earlier risers and more productive and happier people.
So, whether you want to improve the look and curb appeal of your home, save money on produce, get exercise, develop a new and productive hobby, or all of the above…take up this hobby. It can be done on a small or large scale and can even be done with a small budget.
